National Science Resources Center Webinar

August 7, 2007. This 30-minute Webinar highlighted the state of science education in America and offered paths for the redesign and improvement of K–12 science programs.

Speakers included the host, Richard John, a Smithsonian Fellow from Queensland, Australia; National Commission on Excellence in Education member Margaret Marston Lampe; NSRC Executive Director Sally Goetz Shuler; and two students, museum restoration studies major Marlena Saez and accounting major Umar Salahuddin.

The Webinar also previewed the upcoming NSRC symposium, Changing the Course of Science Education: 2007 National Leadership Development Symposium, which will be held October 31-November 2 at the National Academies in Washington, D.C.
